Draw your technical detail sheets online
A vector editor built for construction: sections and details dimensioned in real millimetres, standard material symbols, a library of trade blocks, layers and scaled views. Nothing is rasterised, every line stays editable.

From blank sheet to detail sheet in three steps
- 1
Pick the sheet and the scale
A0 to A4, portrait or landscape, one or several views at 1:5, 1:10 or 1:20. You draw in real millimetres, the sheet does the rest.
- 2
Draw and annotate
Rectangles, polygons, lines, circles, text, dimensions, numbered markers, leaders, level marks, section marks. One material per element, one insulation style per sheet.
- 3
Export or save
Vector SVG to reuse the drawing elsewhere, 300 dpi PNG for a report or an email, native .fsdt.json file to reopen the sheet and carry on.
What the editor does for you
Standard material hatches
Seventeen symbols following NF P 02-001 and ISO 128-50 (concrete, masonry, timber, insulation, soil, steel and more), drawn as geometry so they survive every export.
Five insulation styles
Loops, waves, crosses, zigzag, hatching or blanket, set for the whole sheet or element by element, with a period tied to the thickness.
A library of trade blocks
Screws and anchors, coping, flashing strip, expansion joint, rainwater outlet, overflow, rooflight, threshold, verge strip: placed, rotated and scaled in one click.
Dimensions at true size
Horizontal and vertical dimensions read the real millimetres of the view, the value is pre-filled and stays editable. Moving an element moves its dimensions.
Layers, legend and drawing aids
Visible or locked layers, a numbered legend linked to the markers, grid, object snap, orthogonal mode, unlimited undo and redo.
A format that loses nothing
The sheet is saved as native vector data: reopened six months later, every value is still editable, no line has been flattened.
Who it is for
- Engineering offices and cost consultants detailing a specification
- Roofers and waterproofers justifying an upstand or an outlet
- Architects completing a tender package
- General contractors preparing a method sheet
- Trainers explaining a detail to apprentices
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install software?
No. The editor runs in the browser, on a computer, with a FloorScan account. The current sheet is kept locally and the .fsdt.json file downloads for long-term storage.
Which export formats are available?
Vector SVG, 300 dpi PNG and the native .fsdt.json format. SVG and PNG exports are part of the Essential plan, like the PDFs of the other modules; saving the native file stays free.
Can I import an existing drawing?
Yes, a .fsdt.json file produced by FloorScan reopens as is. Sample sheets are provided so you can start from an existing detail rather than a blank page.
Do the symbols follow a standard?
Material hatches follow NF P 02-001 and ISO 128-50. Insulation styles mirror the conventions of French engineering offices, chosen per sheet.
Is this a full CAD package?
No. It is a detail sheet editor: sections, construction nodes, waterproofing details. For a complete plan in DWG, FloorScan offers plan analysis and take-off, which export to DXF, DWG and IFC.
