Non-compliance is found too late
A 73 cm door in a corridor, a bedroom at 8.4 m², a room with too little glazing: none of these jump off a PDF or out of a quick walk-through. They surface at handover, when the fix costs a hundred times the pencil stroke that would have done at design stage.
The compliance check runs on the already-analyzed plan: it knows every door width in real meters, every room area, the ratio of glazing to floor area. It returns a table of checks in green, amber or red, with the named list of the elements at fault.
The checks that run
Door clear widths
Every detected door is measured, those under the threshold are listed with their width.
Entrance door
The widest door is checked against the entrance threshold, with a warning if it is borderline.
Minimum areas
Habitable rooms under 9 m² and total habitable area, checked from the plan measurements.
Natural daylight
The glazing-to-floor-area ratio is computed to spot under-lit rooms.
Sockets and circuits
The expected socket count per room is estimated from the room type and its area.
Check report
The check table, the offending items and the annotated plan export as a single PDF.
Compliance check questions
Is this a certificate of compliance?
No. It is an automatic pre-check meant to catch problems early. Regulatory compliance is assessed on the built work, under rules that vary by country, building use and permit date.
Are the thresholds configurable?
The reference values of the checks are fixed, but you enter the project's ceiling height and it feeds the checks that depend on it. Each check shows its target next to the measured value, so nothing is opaque.
What about the amber results?
Amber flags a value right at the threshold or incomplete data, typically a missing scale or a door with no usable width. It is an invitation to check that point by hand, not a verdict.
