Schedules are guessed, then endured
A trade's duration follows from a quantity and a productivity rate, but in practice it is usually set from experience, rounded to the week, with no link to the takeoff. When the paint area doubles during design, the schedule does not move.
Linking the two means a change in quantity produces a change in duration, visible at once on the chart. You then argue about a schedule that comes from the project, rather than about an intuition nobody can check.

Every trade gets a bar, a duration and a rank, computed from its quantities.
Dependency chain
Trades that wait on others start after them, which yields a realistic total duration.
Daily tracking grid
Units as rows, dates as columns: you paint the interventions as you would on a whiteboard.

A single cell accepts several interventions, because a unit rarely sees just one trade in a day.

The schedule generates the notices to drop at the occupants' doors, one per unit and per trade.

Scheduling questions
Do the productivity rates match my crews?
They are reference values per trade, based on common renovation productivity. They give an order of magnitude that is consistent across trades; the contractual schedule stays yours, with your headcount and your site constraints.
Can the schedule rows be reordered?
Yes, by sorting or by drag and drop, and the resulting order is kept as is: it is site data, not a display setting. Two site managers opening the grid therefore see the same thing.
Is this a full-blown planning tool?
No, and that is not the goal. There is no optimized critical path and no resource levelling: what is aimed at is the direct link between takeoff, durations and field tracking, inside the same tool as the pricing.
