Counting scaffolding by hand means counting twice

Scaffolding material is not counted per square metre: it is counted per bay and per lift, with a different rule at the ends, four feet per interval, and a hatch that swaps two decks for a ladder. The spreadsheet doing that maths exists in every firm, and nobody dares touch it.

Flag a cell as a hatch: two decks leave the count, a hatch and a ladder join it.

Every erected cell is ticked on the grid: the job reads at a glance, with no separate tracking sheet.

Schedule by crew size

2, 3 or 4 erectors: the number of half-days and the finish date recompute instantly.

Calibrated background

A photo or drawing acts as the background, two points give the scale, and the grid overlays the building.

What bay and lift dimensions are used?

By default a 2.5 m bay and a 2 m lift, the standard values for common equipment. The split leaves the remainder in the last bay, and you can adjust any width by hand when the elevation calls for a different module.

Does the calculation account for my own stock?

Yes, every line of the bill of materials accepts an available quantity. The module then shows required, available and missing, which is exactly the hire order to place.

Is this a compliance calculation?

No, it is a quantity and scheduling tool. Structural design, ties and the calculation note remain the responsibility of the erector and the equipment manufacturer.
