Areas come from the plan, the tile calculator turns them into tiles, boxes, bags of adhesive and grout, with the waste that goes with straight, diagonal or herringbone laying.

A tile order comes down to the last box
One box too many eats the margin; one box too few stops the job and a dye lot you will never match again. Between the two there is an exact area, a format, a joint width and a waste rate that depends on the layout.
The plan gives the exact area, room by room, including the corners a tape measure rounds off. The calculator does the rest: tile count, whole boxes, bags of adhesive and grout. The order rests on figures, not on habit.

Wall tiling
Wall areas are computed at the height you want, openings deducted, for bathrooms and kitchens.
Skirting in linear metres
Each room's perimeter, less the door thresholds, gives the skirting linear directly.
Tile count
Tile format, joint width, waste rate: the calculator returns tiles and whole boxes.
Adhesive, grout, primer
Consumables are estimated from area and format, in kilos and bags.

Tilers' questions
Is the waste rate imposed?
No, you enter it, starting from a value consistent with the chosen layout. A tiler working large format in an awkward room sets his own margin and the box count follows.
Are thresholds and doors handled?
Doors are detected and counted, which lets you take their width out of the skirting linear. For a special threshold or a change of finish, the adjustment is made by hand on the line concerned.
Can one unit have several finishes?
Yes, every room carries its own finish: tiles in wet rooms, wood elsewhere, resilient flooring in circulation. Quantities are totalled per type, giving as many order lines as materials.
