Why automating takeoff changes the economics of your projects
On a typical tender, an estimator spends 4 to 8 hours pricing a project: open the PDF, count doors and windows with a ruler, re-measure surfaces, switch to Excel to apply prices. FloorScan does this takeoff in under a minute per storey, with 95 % AI accuracy on openings. Go from 5 to 50 quotes per week without hiring.
The takeoff comes out as structured data: Excel table with one row per room, perimeter for skirting, surface for flooring, automatic paint face computation (linear × ceiling height). Plug your in-house price catalog in and the quote (pre/post tax) falls out. Compatible with your existing project management software (Batigest, EBP, Onaya).
Everything in the AI takeoff
Automatic counting by category
Doors, windows, French doors, sliding bays — counted and grouped by type.
Partition and concrete linears
Automatic linear computation in meters per wall type, with or without openings deducted.
Floor surfaces and skirting
m² per room and skirting linear (perimeter minus door widths).
Paint faces
Paint area = linear × ceiling height, exported in m² per room.
Quantities with waste rate added
Surfaces multiplied by your waste rate (10 % default), grouped by lot.
DPGF and priced quote export
PDF generation of a pre/post-tax quote with your branding and in-house price catalog.
AI takeoff FAQ
Is the AI takeoff legally binding?
The takeoff is provided for informational purposes. It's an excellent starting point for quotes and purchase orders, but should be validated by your project manager like any professional takeoff. AI accuracy is 95 % on openings, ±2 cm on a calibrated plan.
Can I import my in-house price catalog?
On the Business plan, you import your catalog (XLSX) and tie each surface, linear or work type to a unit price. Quotes come out priced (pre/post tax) with your logo, terms and bank details.
How many projects can I process per month?
Free: 10 plans/month. Pro: 150 plans/month — plenty for an average estimator (around 30 per week). Business: unlimited. All sessions are archived and reusable on paid plans.
