Painting quotes get lost between takeoff and layout
A painter rarely spends more than an hour measuring, and often three formatting: copying areas across, applying coverage rates, adding coats, digging out last year's Word template, fixing the header, exporting to PDF. The lost time is not in the takeoff, it is in everything after it.

Painting quote questions
Can I keep my own coverage rates?
Yes, coverage, number of coats and tin size are fields you fill in. Nothing is imposed: a facade paint at 4 m² per litre and an interior acrylic at 12 are equally easy to enter.
Does the quote meet my legal obligations?
The template carries the usual fields: company identity, registration number, VAT, client details, itemized lines, totals and a legal notices block that you write yourself. What those notices must say depends on your country and trade, so you settle that.
What if the client asks for a variant?
You duplicate the quote, change the paint or the coat count, and the new total lands in seconds. Both versions stay in the project, which avoids resending a stale price.
