How your drawing gets cleaned up
- 1
Photograph the page
Lay the sheet flat and avoid heavy shadows. A scan or a PDF works too.
- 2
Give one known length
A single handwritten dimension is enough to bring the whole drawing to scale.
- 3
Read the clean plan
Straightened lines, square corners, labeled rooms: adjust anything that does not match your survey.
Why clean it up
Straight lines at last
Shaky strokes become straight walls and rough corners come back to square.
Readable labels
Scribbled room names are turned into clear text, and you fix any that were misread.
A plan you can send
No more blurry photo in a chat: share a clean PDF document instead.
Your survey, not a template
The plan follows your drawing. Nothing is made up: what is not on the page is not added for you.
Who cleans up their plans with it
- Real estate agents sketching a property during a viewing
- Plumbers, electricians and carpenters quoting on site
- Homeowners preparing a permit application
- Home inspectors sketching a dwelling
Questions about hand-drawn plans
My drawing is quite messy, is that a problem?
A freehand drawing is the normal case: lines are straightened and corners squared. Walls just need to be distinguishable from one another and the handwriting roughly readable.
Do I need graph paper?
No, a blank sheet is fine. The grid is not used for scale: the dimension you wrote down is the reference.
Is this module available during the free trial?
No. Cleaning up hand-drawn floor plans is part of the Essential subscription and has no trial period. It unlocks as soon as you subscribe.
Can the plan be used for a permit application?
It gives you a clear base for your drawings. Presentation rules depend on your local authority, so check what is required and complete the plan if needed.
