Is the trade structure imposed?
No, it is proposed. You delete out-of-scope trades, rename headings, move lines around. The default structure follows a classic renovation layout because you have to start somewhere.
Where do the quantities come from?
From the measurements taken on the plan: floor areas per room and per use, partition linears, opening counts, paint faces. Each item shows its unit, which lets you trace back to the original measurement.
Can I use it to consult contractors?
Yes, by emptying the price column and leaving only the quantities: every contractor prices the same basis and the bids become comparable line by line. That is the most common use of the module on the design side.
