Convert your PDF plans
into native multi-layer DXF
FloorScan generates a clean AutoCAD DXF from any PDF floor plan, with separate layers (Concrete, Partitions, Doors, Windows, Footprint) in real meters and $INSUNITS=6.

Why a native multi-layer DXF changes everything
Most PDF→DXF converters output a single layer of vectorized polylines that are impossible to read: you can't filter partitions from doors, nor re-measure surfaces. FloorScan starts from AI semantic detection — each object is typed and exported to its dedicated layer. Open the DXF in AutoCAD and instantly isolate load-bearing walls, hide openings, or export the Footprint layer to GIS.
The system unit ($INSUNITS=6) is set to meters: your DXF imports at the right scale in Revit, ArchiCAD, Civil 3D or QGIS without rework. Room polylines are closed, ready for hatches, MTEXT or external references (xref). No cleanup needed before starting design or takeoff.
What's inside your DXF
Concrete layer
Load-bearing walls and main structure exported as thick closed polylines.
Partitions layer
All non-bearing partitions, separated from concrete for independent editing.
Doors layer
DXF block per door with width, swing direction and wall position.
Windows layer
Sills and window returns for each window, exported as polylines.
Footprint layer
Closed polyline of the building outer outline, usable in GIS or for urban planning.
MTEXT labels
Each room's name and area written as MTEXT at the polygon centroid.
DXF export FAQ
Does the DXF open in AutoCAD LT and BricsCAD?
Yes. The generated DXF is ASCII R12, compatible with every modern CAD: AutoCAD (LT and Full), BricsCAD, ZWCAD, DraftSight, LibreCAD, and Revit/ArchiCAD via import. No proprietary extensions used.
How is the real-world scale guaranteed?
Before export, calibrate the plan by entering a known dimension (a wall, door, or graphic scale). FloorScan derives the pixels/meter ratio and applies it to all coordinates. The DXF is then written with $INSUNITS=6 (meters) — your CAD software detects it automatically.
Can I edit the DXF before export?
Yes. The built-in editor lets you fix AI detections — move a door, close a wall, adjust a room polygon — before generating the DXF. All edits are taken into account. Export is instant once you're happy.
