Here the spec is generated from the takeoff: only the items actually quantified produce an article. So you never start from a document foreign to the project, and a trade removed from the bill of quantities disappears from the spec at the same moment.

It is usable as a working basis, not as a contract document to sign blind. Requirements depend on the country, the type of work and your own habits: read every article before putting it in the contract.
Can I bring my own clause library?
Yes, by replacing the article text. The module supplies a frame and a structure, the content stays yours: many users paste in their usual paragraphs and keep only the per-trade organization.
What if I change the takeoff afterwards?
The spec follows the item list: add a line to the takeoff and its article appears, remove it and the article goes. That is exactly what prevents a spec describing work absent from the pricing.
